2022 Russian River Valley Rose of Pinot Noir

State of the Street – Winemaker Edition

Wow, what a winter we have had so far! Twenty-three days of historic rainfall, washed out roads, fallen trees and downed power lines. The winery held its own with no flooding or loss of power. On a positive note, we received over twenty inches of rain. The rain has filled our reservoirs and recharged our aquifers. The grapevines are off to a good start for 2023!

In the winery, we have been busy bottling. We recently bottled: 87 cases of 2022 Garagistes Sauvignon Blanc, 118 cases of 2021 Russian River Valley Syrah and 114 cases of 2021 Sonoma County Red Blend (40% Merlot, 35% Zinfandel and 25% Syrah). These small lot offerings will be available to our wine club members first. Be sure to be on the lookout for emails and social media posts regarding these new release wines.

In the meantime, come join us on the patio. The sun is out, the birds are singing, and the trees are getting ready to leaf out. Spring is just around the corner!

If you haven’t already heard, we just released our 2022 Rose of Pinot Noir. With only 336 cases produced, it will sell out quickly. It has already earned a gold medal in the 2023 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. The crisp acidity and light fruit flavors make it a perfect sipper on its own or a delightful pairing with strawberry shortcake.

We would love to have you join us in celebrating the release of this Rose. Please join us for our Happy Hour Release Party on Friday February 10th from 4:00 to 6:30 pm or on Saturday February 11th at 11:00 for a taste of our new Rose. I hope to see you soon!

Cheers,
Melissa Kuhn Winemaker
