Another year That Was!

The year 2021 was certainly memorable. It started with restaurant closures, curbside pickups for food and beverages, vaccinations, blue skies, GOLD MEDALS and reservations for wine tasting.

As the year went by the blue skies were no longer smiled upon as drought loomed all over the west, more GOLD MEDALS accrued, reservations for tastings became the norm, and many thought the end of the pandemic was in sight.

When summer rolled in we had an abbreviated concert schedule (big success), our tasting room continued to be a very popular place for locals and visitors to congregate, and everyone seemed cautiously optimistic about a return to normalcy.

Our 40th harvest was celebrated with a quality crop and we have great confidence in the 2021 wines. And we (in Sonoma County) escaped the fire season this year. We continued our newish tradition of making a Nouveau Pinot Noir; and best of all, the rains came early and often.

Yet we are by no means out of the woods. Rain and snow need to continue for the winter, pandemic numbers need to fall precipitously, and people need to continue to drink wine – preferably those made by your friends at Taft Street.

May 2022 be a joyous one for you and yours.

Cheers,
