Let the good times roll (Again)

The skies are blue, our Tasting Room is booked solid on weekends, and all our cellar workers and office staff have received their Covid-19 vaccinations. Life doesn’t get much better these days.

In the cellar, bottling for clients, contracting grapes for this year’s harvest, and making selections for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blends are keeping the crew fully occupied.

The Tasting Room continues to be open on weekends, with reservations taken for series of wine tasting flights. The response has been terrific, and we await further word from the county to open up even more.

The latest issue of PinotFile, a newsletter devoted to pinot noir, recently reviewed wines from the 2018 vintage. Taft Street’s 2018 Garagistes Russian River Valley Pinot Noir was “Luscious in the mouth, with a complementary shadow of oak…. Easygoing, upfront drinking. Score: 92”

The 2018 Taft Street Skikos Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir has a “juicy finish (which) draws the drinker back to the glass. Even more lavish…this beauty can be enjoyed now or cellared. Score: 94”

The reviewer notes “These are the best Pinot Noir releases from this winery I have ever tasted and represent outstanding value.” Congratulations Melissa and staff!

So there you have it. We will keep you posted as changed occur in Sonoma County. In the meantime, give us a call and set up a time for a picnic/tasting. We’re waiting for you.

Cheers!
